Christmas Gifts

I know Christmas shopping is important, and I have heard about some weird gifts. I just read about the weirdest gift selection that is being promoted.

The Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington, Illinois, is branching out its array of reindeer-dung jewelry.

This year it is offering a $15 pendant necklace which contains dried, sterilized reindeer droppings – sprayed with glitter, on a beaded chain. If you can’t get to the zoo to get your necklace, you can order it by mail for $20.

Last year holiday shoppers swept up the reindeer-dung Christmas ornaments. They also have those back this year and 450 have already been sold. They are a real deal –$7.50 or $10 by mail.

I know some people would consider that the zoo is being real creative in their approach. It certainly gives a new meaning to people’s choice of accessories.

There are a lot of gift suggestions out there. The best gift of Christmas is God’s gift of His Son to us. Jesus is the perfect gift for every need we have.

Please don’t get so caught up in what the world has to sell that you miss what God has to give!
