I Am Thankful

I Am Thankful

Someone shared with me a list of some things, and I added others, for which I can be thankful:

For the wife who says it’s hot dogs tonight,

because it means that she is at home and not out somewhere else.

For the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato,

because it means that he is home and not out at the bars.

For the teenagers who are complaining about doing chores,

because it means they are at home and not on the streets.

For the taxes I pay,

because it means I am employed.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug,

because it means I have enough to eat.

For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing,

because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining I hear about the Government,

because it means we have freedom of speech.

For lack of parking spaces near the front door of the church,

because it means I am capable of walking and have been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating bill,

because it means I am warm.

For the pile of laundry and ironing,

because it means I have clothes to wear.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours,

because it means I am alive.

For friends who don’t agree with my politics,

because it means that I live in a nation that allows this.

For the boss who doesn’t always treat me fairly,

because it means that I have a paycheck coming.

For my joints which sometimes hurt and “pop”,

Because it means that I’ve gotten good use out of them.

For my challenges in life,

because it means that I have an opportunity to grow.

For God who called me to this Leadership Ministry, and for you who share it with me!!
